 Thomas Filter sealant (THO4040-3)

Outline

It is a two-component modified epoxy adhesive. The surface of the firm bonding is smooth and bright. The adhesive cures at room temperature or after heating.

Applications

It is applied to the bonding and sealing of the frames to filter media which can be made of plastics, composite fibers as well as the matal mesh.  

Features

Part A is gel. B is light yellow liquid.

Curing time: at 25°C, the tack-free time is 3 hours, and it reaches its maximum strength 24 hours later.  

Being weather and heat-resistant, it adapts to a wide range of temperature and bonds well under high temperature.

Mix the two components in a certain proportion, apply it to the surface of the substrates acquiring no strict treatment, which makes it so convenient to use.

You’ll get long term durability and resistance to moisture, chemicals and oils.

if long-term exposed to the outdoors, surface and the performance of its fundamental unchanged

Shelf time is one and half a year at room temperature.

The main technical parameters are as follows:

Heat resistance scope：- 50°C—180°C  rigidity: shore D 68   cure shrinkage: 1.5   water absorption rate:24 h＜0.1%  

Tensile strength≥25MPa ;     Shearing strength≥20 Mpa     

at 150°C, tensile strength:3-4MPa

Instruction

1. Clean the surface of the material, make sure they have no dust or oil on them, wait until they are dry.

2. Mix A and B at a proportion of 10:1,mix them well.

3. Vacuumize the mixture if possible or lay it aside for 10 minutes, pour the mixture into the gap. Wait until it sets.

Notes

1. temperature influences the curing time, the higher the temperature is, the faster the curing time will be.

2. Use another can or container in which to blend A with B. The tools used to get A and B should be different.

3 A and B should be mixed well.

4 It is necessary to keep it well ventilated and away from fire.

5 If it has contact with skin, you should wash thoroughly with soap and water.

6 It can be stored at well-ventilated places with low temperature, and keep them away from fire.

7 Cover the lip after using it.
